What is the new Redback Smart Battery System?
Redback’s Smart Battery System is the perfect upgrade to your existing solar energy system. This latest release 'AC couples' to your existing system and enables you to maximise your home’s self-sufficiency by utilising more of your own, self-generated energy - storing the excess solar power generated during the day in the 7.2kWh battery, for use when the sun is no longer shining.
In addition to powering through the night, you can keep your lights on in a power outage with the Smart Battery system’s Backup Power and Built-in UPS (uninterrupted power supply) features, providing a greater level of security and independence.

Features of the Smart Battery System
Compatible with most solar systems
The Redback Smart Battery System is compatible with most existing solar systems, meaning adding battery storage has never been easier. Use your self generated energy when the sun goes down!
7.2kWh of battery storage
With 7.2kWh of battery storage, the Smart Battery System stores your excess PV, maximising the use of your self-generated energy.
All-in-one system design
The Redback Smart Battery System includes a Battery Inverter, the pre-wired Balance of System (BoS) and a Battery Enclosure (BE). The highly integrated battery storage solution will fit seamlessly into your garage or outside your home, as there is no need for extra cabling or cabinets.
Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)
Never be left in the dark again, with the Redback backup power feature allowing near-instantaneous backup power (10 milliseconds), which targets key appliances when the unexpected occurs.* Enjoy peace of mind with an uninterrupted power supply, feel secure in your home and don’t even lift a finger to do it – the change over is automatic!
