In 2025, ZEN partnered with the James Kirkpatrick group to install solar on the L'Oréal building in Otahuhu, Auckland. The solar installation was part of a bigger objective to increase operational efficiency and set the building up for strong ESG objectives, as well as cutting energy costs. ZEN designed a premium system, which would set the distribution centre up for excellence by including more panels, and Sungrow inverters which are known for their efficiency and long-term warranties. On top of this, when we looked at the environmental impact it was incredibly significant. They will avoid burning approximately 121kg of coal per year; the equivalent of planting 6.5K trees. The 265kw system will enable a very energy-efficient operating site for the L'Oréal tenants for years to come.
